ITIDA

Information Technology Industry Development Agency was founded in 2004 as an executive IT arm of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to spearhead the process of developing the Egyptian IT industry. ITIDA aspires to build momentum in IT industry by making Egypt one of the top global hubs for technology and business services. The agency strives to further develop Egypt`s competitive advantages to serve public and private bodies, industry players and associations, universities, and individuals to help grow the Egyptian IT industry.

ITIDA continuously strives to provide business development, capacity building, and consultancy programs, customized specifically for indigenous companies to make them more globally competitive. Such developing initiatives & programs assist local companies to compete more effectively in both national and international markets.  

With core values, including Transparency, Excellence, Collaboration, and Ownership, ITIDA’s vision is “Spearheading the development of Egypt`s ICT industry to increase its global competitiveness, which will make it a key contributor to the country’s economic growth”. Accordingly, ITIDA’s mission is to play an essential role in the Egyptian IT sector development through: “Identifying the needs of the IT local industry and addressing them with well-designed programs, policy advice, promoting trade in local and international markets, and being a strategic advisor to local and international companies”.
