.       Administer LAN and WAN, network segments, Internet, and intranet as necessary, utilizing TCP/IP networking protocol and Windows-based operating system. 

·        Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software. 

·        Investigate problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions. 

·        Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, Windows networks, servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems 

·        Add or upgrade and configure modems, disk drives, printers, and related equipment. 

·        Perform and/or oversee software and application development, installation, and upgrades. 

·        Maintain site licenses for the department/organization. 

·        Monitor networks and system performance. 

·        Implement network security, including building firewalls, applying encryption technologies to network applications, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users. 

·        Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties. 

·        Establish and maintain user e-mail accounts and maintain MS Exchange server, including interfaces with Blackberry devices. 

·        Develop and conduct various minor training and instruction for system users on operating systems, and other applications; assist users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems. 

·        Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures. 

·        Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and industry best practices and standards. 

·        Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability. 

·        Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability. 

·        Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network. 

·        Maintain highest levels of network and infrastructure security by applying stringent security methodologies. 

·        Liaise with external support providers, as necessary, to carry out assigned jobs. 

·        Administer and maintain the company website, including all the various components. 

·        Manages the data center and computer host systems, including hardware, software, and equipment such as the air-conditioning system, UPS (uninterrupted power system), and fire protection systems. 

·        Maintain an inventory of all the hardware and software items and maintenance records. 

·        Maintain the company’s IP telephony network and system. 

·        Document network problems and resolutions for future reference. Maintain a library of information.
