About Dawayer The project's General Objective is to support national policies through sustainable and innovative models of rural tourism that are sensitive to the economic participation of women. In particular, the project's Specific Objective is to promote economic initiatives by women entrepreneurs in the rural tourism sector in Sohag Governorate. The project is directed towards entrepreneur women who already have a product or service on the market which they wish to incorporate into rural tourism or who seek to create new business lines in this sector in Sohag Governorate. Dawayer is articulated around three results: - Local actors are articulated to promote the rural tourism value chain in Sohag Governorate: Dialogue will be promoted among local actors on the opportunities that the sector offers to create sustainable models of economic development in the Sohag Governorate, as well as a strategic vision on the opportunities, needs of the actors and impulse measures to implement. - Rural tourism products led by women will be improved and new lines of business will be generated: A business innovation program will be launched to reinforce creative management and marketing skills of at least 100 women entrepreneurs of Sohag Governorate who already have a product or viable service in the market, and who wish to improve it and/or generate new lines of business in rural tourism. - The commercialization of products and services developed by women entrepreneurs will be improved: Technical advice will be provided to women entrepreneurs in the commercialization of the products and services developed and the design of an innovative marketing experience for the promotion of rural tourism in Sohag Governorate. A promotion campaign of rural tourism will be carried out and at least two sale points of its products will be established. Job Summary The Field Coordinator will work on or will be based in Sohag and will function as the focal point between Awtad’s office in Cairo and Sohag. They will ensure the coordination of all needed logistics for effective implementation of the program’s activities. They will also collect, report on and maintain all necessary data and information in Sohag As per the program guidelines and needs.
Job responsibilities:
Maintain training and events databases of participants as well as documentation. Support all relevant requirements and manage logistics for training activities in Sohag. Document and collect necessary data, relevant to the requirements of the program. Ensure the implementation of all operational and administrative functions. Ensure training objectives and deliverables are met. Maintain network with relevant local stakeholders. Support the program’s technical team. Write professional reports according to the program needs and requirements. Uphold the standards and outcomes needed to reach program goals. Manage the program’s office in Sohag . Build and maintain a dynamic ecosystem with relevant local players in Sohag. Represent the program in coordination with Cairo office in Sohag. Perform other duties as assigned.
