About the Role

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Backend Java Developer with hands-on experience in Spring Boot to join our team in an outsourced capacity. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of backend development principles and be eager to work on scalable, high-performing applications and services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Backend Development:

  • Develop and maintain backend components using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

2. System Design & Integration:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design robust backend systems.
  • Contribute to microservices architecture and backend integration tasks.
  • Assist in ensuring the backend services are scalable and secure.

3. Database Handling:

  • Work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Write optimized queries and implement database access using Spring Data JPA.
  • Support data consistency and performance tuning efforts.

4. Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with frontend developers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver features.
  • Communicate progress and blockers clearly and proactively.

5. Application Performance & Security:

  • Support efforts to monitor and improve backend performance.
  • Follow security best practices and assist in addressing vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
     
    • At least 2 years of professional experience in backend development.
  •  
    • Solid hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot.
  •  
  • Technical Skills:
     
    • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot ecosystem (Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA).
  •  
    • Good understanding of REST APIs and microservices.
  •  
    • Experience with databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  •  
    • Familiarity with tools like Git, Maven, and basic CI/CD workflows.
  •  
    • Exposure to message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
  •  
    • Familiarity with Docker or cloud platforms is a bonus.
  •  
  • Soft Skills:
     
    • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  •  
    • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  •
