About the Role
Directs all functions that provide safety testing, maintenance and repair of biomedical patient medical care equipment and electronic communications equipment.
Job responsibilities:
- Manages all biomedical engineering aspects of branch equipment installation, maintenance and repairs.
- Provides engineering and technical advice on codes and standards, including Healthcare safety
- Advises physicians, nurses and medical technician on the operation and user checks and maintenance of biomedical and telecommunications equipment.
- Trains patient care and technical service personnel on the use of new or modified equipment, conducts training sessions and provides informal guidance to appropriate patient care personnel.
- Establishes quality control on all work performed by department personnel and ensures compliance.
- Coordinate with purchasing department through providing instruction to ensure the quality standards are maintained while purchasing new parts or devices.
Requirements
Minimum Required Qualification:
- Graduated from Biomedical Engineering from an accredited university
Minimum Required Experience:
- Five (5) years experience in Biomedical Engineering in healthcare facility.
