The Egypt Makes Electronics (EME) aims to foster and develop the electronics industry
(design and manufacturing) in Egypt. It establishes projects and programs, and offers
services and incentives to embrace eco-system with the objective of bringing value to
Egyptian Electronics Industry by stimulating new investment, fostering R&D-based for
innovative electronics products and components, developing the capacity of human
resources (Technical and Management), enabling electronics design houses and encouraging
exports that put Egypt as the leading regional hub for Electronics Industry.
The Electronics Innovation Hub at Knowledge city is promoting electronics eco-system in
Egypt by hosting R&D offices of leading national and international enterprises. It is
accommodated with advanced technology labs (Microelectronics lab, IoT/Robotics lab,
Center of Excellence of Industry 4.0) in addition to an incubation program for electronics
startups.
The Electronics Innovation Manager oversees the different projects, programs and services
running at Electronics Innovation Hub to ensure that they serve the above objectives and
enforces the different policies and processes approved by the top management, and keeps
track of the different KPIs.
Job Accountabilities:
Liaising with industrial partners and stakeholders to develop collaboration opportunities
based on the expertise and goals of the Hub.
Overseeing the operation of technology innovation labs (microelectronics, Industry 4.0,
IoT/Robotic, ..etc.)
Supervising and maintaining the Innovation hub operation with the external operators
Promoting Innovation hub services and programs targeting electronics industry
empowerment and attracting new investments.
Contributing towards dissemination and communication activities managed by the
innovation hub
Coordinating efforts to implement standard operating procedures and key performance
indicators relevant to the innovation hub and coordinating the administrative and
financial for innovation.
Creating a conducive environment and platform for accelerating R&D activities and
Innovation.
Maintaining technical aspects and training programs at the innovation hub
Managing the administrative, financial and promotion activities with other supportive
departments within ITIDA
Supervising and maintaining capacity-building programs in electronics technology

Education:
B.Sc. in Electronics / Mechatronics / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering
M.Sc., MBA or PMP is a plus.

Required Experience:
+12 years or more experience in
Innovation and deep technology
(design or manufacturing) domain,
Electronics, Mechatronics, embedded
systems. Or Industry 4.0
Technologies.
Good knowledge of financial and
procurement practices.

+5 years or more management experience.
Strong knowledge of latest electronics industry
trends.
Good knowledge of startup and entrepreneurs’
eco-system
