Position Summary:
experienced Infrastructure/Systems Engineer with expertise in VMware technologies,
Microsoft environments, and a strong background in systems management, security, and
networking. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain a robust IT
infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of systems and services critical to organizational
success.

Key Responsibilities:
1. VMware Infrastructure Management:
o Design, implement, and manage VMware solutions, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
o Monitor and optimize virtualized environments for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
o Implement and manage VMware HA/DRS, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.

2. Microsoft Technologies Administration:
o Manage Microsoft environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365.
o Administer Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for software distribution, patch management, and system updates.
o Ensure integration between on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft services, including Azure and Exchange.

3. Network and Security Expertise:
o Configure and manage networking components such as DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
o Collaborate with the network team to maintain a secure and resilient IT infrastructure.
o Implement and manage security solutions, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
o Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply security patches to minimize risks.

4. Systems Management and Automation:
o Implement and maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure high availability.
o Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
o Optimize system configurations and performance to meet organizational needs.

5. Documentation and Support:
o Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, network diagrams, and IT processes.
o Provide Level 2/3 technical support for infrastructure issues and mentor junior staff.
o Create and deliver reports on system performance, incidents, and compliance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, SCCM).
Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and security practices (firewalls, endpoint security, vulnerability management).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid infrastructure setups.
Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
