About the Role
Job Purpose:
The role is responsible for driving investment initiatives and fostering growth in the Egyptian startup ecosystem. By managing key programs such as the "Invest IT" and "Breakfast with an Investor" programs, this role aims to enhance engagement between startups and local/international investors. The specialist will actively support high-potential startups by coordinating investment support initiatives, collecting and analyzing relevant data, and contributing to the development of new strategies that attract investment. This position plays a pivotal role in positioning Egypt as a competitive hub for startup investment through collaboration with external entities, international organizations, and internal departments at ITIDA.
Job Accountabilities:
Monitor, follow up, and evaluate Invest IT program implementation.
Reach out to local and international investors to participate in the “Breakfast with an Investor program”.
Implement the “Breakfast with an Investor program” regularly and report its impact.
Manage different startup investment support initiatives with external entities and international organizations.
Reach out to high-potential startups and scale-ups to participate in different investment support programs.
Collect data related to investment in Egyptian startups from ITIDA/TIEC’s different departments, the ecosystem, and online channels.
Update the number of startups and amount of investment on the ITIDA EMS system
Initiate new programs/ initiatives related to attracting investment to local startups
Participate in different activities and initiatives to attract investment to Egyptian startups
Prepare and present different reports and presentations as requested
Education:
BA in Business Administration or BSC in Engineering, computer science.
Required Experience:
From 4 to 7 years of practical experience preferably with VCs or Accelerators.
Solid understanding Knowledge of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem
