About the Role
Design Phase:
· Assist in designing production layouts and processes with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating wastefulness, reducing costs, and ensuring quality standards are maintained.
· Assist in designing detail layout of facilities, using suitable CAD software, determining capital and auxiliary equipment as well as system and personnel requirements both white and blue collar.
· Assist Manufacturing Engineers for preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
· Manage process documentation and prepare production reports and KPIs such as labour productivity and OEE of equipment.
· Assist the development and implementation of quality control procedures and systems to ensure products meet customer specifications (SQCDP, APQP).
Prototype Phase:
· Assist in conducting time and motion studies to map current state and identify areas for improvement in production processes.
· Assist in verifying production flow and perform necessary adjustments.
· Verify MBOMs.
· Apply KPIs and quality control procedures and systems.
Serial Production & Improvement Phase:
· Assist in analysing production data to identify trends and areas for improvement and developing and implementing cost reduction strategies.
. Prepare reports and presentations on production data and KPIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
- Acquire knowledge in manufacturing process design, control, and improvements.
- Acquire knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Acquire knowledge in computer-aided design (CAD) software for the design of floor lay-outs.
- Acquire knowledge in ERP Systems (preferably SAP).
- Acquire knowledge in Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (5S, Lean tools, Value Stream Mapping; VSM) and Six Sigma methodology is a plus.
- Ability to work in a team environment, cross-functional teams (Design of Lay-Outs, Value Stream Maps, Lean Projects).
- Acquire knowledge Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
