About the Role
. To action purchase requests, verify completeness, identify possible suppliers and obtain quotations.
· To negotiate best purchasing package in terms of quality, price, terms, delivery, and service with suppliers.
· Responsible for the preparation and process of purchase orders and documents in accordance with ADASI policies and procedures.
· Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.
· Manage and follow up on orders placed with suppliers, thus confirming order progress and status.
· Provide internal customers with feedback regarding order placement, progress, delays and problems related to their orders.
· Responsible for capturing all procurement details and ensuring that the information captured is up to date, clear, accurate and specific.
· Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all ordered items are delivered to the correct site/store on-time.
· Handling and monitoring of claims to suppliers for nonconforming products/services, shortages, and/or missing deliveries.
· Ensure that all procurement queries are dealt with efficiently, ensuring agreed standards and service levels are maintained.
· Maintain supplier lists and source new suppliers when the need arises.
Maintain completely updated procurement records.
Requirements
BSc in Business Administration or Engineering.
Any other relevant formal qualifications in supply and logistics are considered as an asset.
Minimum of 3-5 years of procurement/purchasing experience, ideally including value engineering.
Minimum years of overall professional experience 4-5 years
