About the Role
Production Planning:
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand customer demand and incorporate it into production plans.
Resource Allocation:
Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of raw materials, components, and resources needed for production.
Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize production costs.
Capacity Planning:
Evaluate and monitor production capacity, identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions to optimize workflow.
Work closely with the manufacturing team to balance workloads and ensure the production process is running smoothly.
Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with the quality control team to establish and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
Implement measures to identify and address any quality issues in a timely manner.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions in the production process.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Communication and Coordination:
Act as a liaison between different departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Provide regular updates to management on production progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, including production schedules, inventory levels, and resource utilization.
Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency and quality.
Risk Management:
Anticipate potential production issues and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
Proactively address any issues that may impact production timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in production planning, preferably in the aerospace or UAV industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control.
- Proficiency in using production planning software and SAP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
