About the Role
Oversee the design of evidence-based program designs in the area of food insecurity and malnutrition, including the development of concept notes, project proposals, and log frames
o Conduct regular research to be updated with the latest findings in the field of food
security, food assistance, and impact evaluations of social protection programs.
o Revise holistic program package (including concept note, program proposal, and
program log frame) as prepared by team members.
o Review and amend all materials needed for official communications with external
parties.
o Meet with the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to advise on monitoring and
evaluation plan/frameworks
o Prepare talking points and presentations for high-level meetings.
o Develop and maintain strategic relationships with donor partners and key
stakeholders.
o Liaise with assigned representatives of national, regional, and international
organizations as well as academic and civil society communities, as required.
o Oversee the development of impact evaluations done in collaboration with internal and external experts.
o Attend and speak in meetings/conferences/seminars/workshops on behalf of the
Egyptian Food Bank or the Growth Lab.
o Oversee the logistical preparations of any events hosted by the Egyptian Food Bank
including concept note drafting, invitation letters, event agenda, session plan,
speakers’ guidance note, etc.
o Provide technical assistance and track project deliverables
o Review and edit program progress reports to ensure that the Field Operations team is up to date with any revised goals or targets.
o Frequent travel to the field to observe program implementation and provide needed technical assistance, if any.
o Constantly review and update work plans as per project deliverables.
o Ensure adherence to donor finance, monitoring, and evaluation reporting, and
publicizing policies and procedures.
• Lead administering program’s deliverables as per monitoring and evaluation
reporting activities.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support the
program design process.
• Liaise between internal and external work teams.
• Review and amend blog posts and short policy briefs to be publicized on different
social media outlets.

Requirements
• An advanced degree in political science, public policy, or a related social science field. • Relevant professional experience of at least 7+ years working in the development field. • Experience working for government, international non-governmental organizations or non-governmental organizations is a strong asset. • Familiarity with different qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. • Experience conducting research and developing programs • Ability to manage tasks effectively and efficiently. • Fluency in Arabic and English is a must. • Strong project management skills with great time management skills. • A proactive problem-solving mindset directed towards results delivery and complying with partners’ needs. • An entrepreneurial and innovative work approach. • Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical, written, facilitation, oral, and communication skills. • Willingness to travel nationwide frequently.
