About the Role
Works under the direct supervision of the Director of the Growth Lab Department under the overall supervision of the CEO, and in close coordination with the field operations function.
Develops new programs, analyzes and assesses existing programs, and monitors the implementation and progress of different projects and programs to ensure their alignment with the program objectives.
Develops concept notes, project and program proposals, grant proposals and program analysis.
• Conduct extensive research to identify new programs in the area of poverty reduction and hunger alleviation.
• Develop different written outputs including for example, concept notes, project proposals, official correspondences, technical reports, etc.
• Provide technical and program management support.
• Establish contacts with different stakeholders including research institutions, think tanks, international organizations and others.
• Identify potential donors to fund new programs and projects.
• Conduct literature review to inform qualitative and quantitative research design.
• Conduct in depth interviews and moderate focus group discussions with EFB beneficiaries.
Job responsibilities:
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, economics or a closely related field (master’s degree is preferred). - Advanced writing skills. - Solid knowledge about poverty, food security, hunger and rural development. - Very good Microsoft office skills (knowledge of statistical software packages is a plus). - Excellent interpersonal skills - Experience 5-7 years preferably in NGOs, international organizations, research institutions, or government.
