About the Role
Managing the daily operation of the regulatory compliance program and support Cassbana’s expansion plan and licensing requirements. Also, to oversee and prepare all regulatory reporting requirements.
Job responsibilities:
Handle a broad range of legal/regulatory issues and engagement, including regulatory perimeter assessments, licensing/registration applications, product assessment and categorization.
Identify risk areas and develop systems, policies, and procedures to manage and mitigate them
Advise on the full range of financial services legal, regulatory, and industry requirements applicable to online and offline payments, including FRA and CBE regulations, network rules, anti-money laundering processes, KYC obligations, emerging payment systems, money transmission, and other regimes.
Ensure timely regulatory filings, call out any licensing issues, and supervise ongoing regulatory obligations in licensing management tool.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law (English Department)
Admitted to the Bar Association and currently registered practicing attorney in Egypt
Extensive knowledge of financial services and payments compliance requirements and regulations
Experience with Egyptian regulatory system.
Ability to prepare position papers to advocate with regulatory authorities.
Years of experience: +7 years of public policy or regulatory experience within the Egyptian financial services sector.
