About the Role
This role will be responsible for the accurate monthly accounting in local systems. The role requires a result oriented, strong professional and quick learner with the ability to understand and apply specific business knowledge in an effort to anticipate potential problems and force timely resolutions. As there are frequent interaction with different stakeholders within company and outside in English, therefore strong presentation and communication skills in English are mandatory.
You'll Get:
- Responsible for the day-to-day accounting transactions , mainly supplier and banks.
- Interact with the procurement leader to ensure the country P2P processes are compliant with the Group requirement, maintain and update the Purchasing application.
- Booking supplier invoices including fixed assets after applying the 3 way match (PO , GRN and Invoices) into the accounting system.
- Preparing and loading the payments in the banking system and processing in the accounting system.
- Performing monthly vendor reconciliation.
- Handling cash settlement / entries with the operation team.
- Preparing quarterly withholding tax returns and vendor withholding certificates.
- Supporting periodic tax inspections.
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliation for one bank.
- Preparing supplier provision and allocation of prepaid expenses.
- Participate and support in monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packs.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliation for all balance sheet items and have a special focus on reviewing high-risk balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Support the local Management requests.
- Ensure the banking DOA / KYC are up to date and maintain good relationship with the bank for the smooth running of the cash flow operations
- Maintaining relations with Audit & Tax Consultants.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance- Exposure to ERP systems, Oracle or similar
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Ability to research and apply accounting guidance
- Good understanding of Egypt Taxation
- Experience preparing statutory accounts
- Reporting under dual accounting standards
- Very good level of English
