About the Role
Responsible for organization’s financial procedures, records and statements for compliance with laws and regulations also preparation maintenance of records.
• Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
• Prepare documentation for External Auditors
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the CFO if necessary
• Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Reconciliation of financial covenant, advances, holding of book movements, preparation of account statements and certificates at the end of the financial year
• Periodic and sudden inventory of the treasury
• Implementation of various expenditure, income and inventory adjustments, documentary audits and book entries
• Analysis of auditors observations and preparation of adequate documentation and responses to their queries
• Preparation of final accounts and periodic financial reports
• Focus on tax compliance, government business registration, contract review, and non-profit tax filing
• Recording of receipts and cheques received and issued in the Bank's accounts
• Bank exchange bond preparation and cheques issue
Job responsibilities:
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance • Experience from 3 : 5 years in accounting , finance field • Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software • Strong mathematical and analytical skills • Thorough understanding of financial application security ensuring that all financial data is secure and complies with confidentiality policies • Involvement in business registration, tax compliance and creating, distributing, and reporting tax datasheets • Working knowledge of non-profit tax filing and tax compliance
