About the Role
- Collect market data to support market knowledge build up on some categories: cost drivers, suppliers market and products evolution, technologies, innovation, …
- Manage sourcing activities from supplier identification and included visits, RFI, and RFQ up to a proposal of a purchasing local roadmap, based on Category Leader input, on the new area to support Purchasing strategies
- Define with the category leader the value improvement program with targets, planning and tackle perimeter to cover to push global productivity plan at regional or category level in coordination role in the Purchasing community in Operations, and being co-responsible for project & operations productivity, including transversal productivity program implementation, Tier II supplier
- Support in supplier relationship management process; interact with Category Leader and BU communities.
- This role will involve extensive travel for business (60 to 80%) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Requirements
- Engineering, Business or Purchasing Master’s degree
- Over 5 years in the purchasing department. At least 3 years of experience in direct purchasing.
- Fluent in English
- Project management skills
- Expert in costing and negotiation
- Good knowledge on process and industrial performance
- Good knowledge on supplier markets and technologies
- Good level of communication and synthesis
- Autonomous, Curiosity, Agility, Adaptation, capability to work in a different regional cultural framework
